SITE VISIT 1: SUPER PIT

Become visitor inducted to the KCGM Super Pit and view first hand the mining and milling operations of the site.Be amazed by the size of the machinery (CAT 793 haul trucks) and watch a Komatsu PC 8000 face shovel load a haul truck from the internal lookout, Harvey Hut.

 

 

SITE VIST 2: ROYAL FLYING DOCTORS

The Base employs 19 full time staff. This includes 3 medical officers, 5 nurses, 5 pilots, 3 engineers and 1 base administrator. The prime responsibility of the base is vast, encompassing approximately 600,000km² of pastoral and mining land, the Gibson and Southern parts of the Great Sandy Desert, Victorian Desert and the Southern coast.

 

SITE VISIT 3: KALGOORLIE GOLF COURSE

In early 2000, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder commenced negotiations with the State Government over the development of a new golf course in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. From this initial concept, the project developed into the construction of a premier, 18 hole grass golf course, which would see the three existing golf clubs relocated to the new course.

 

 

SITE VISIT 4:AUSTRALIAN PROSPECTORS AND MINERS HALL OF FAME

Explore Kalgoorlie’s first gold mine at the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame. Witness a gold pour or explor the museum and galleries
